There is a rainbow at the end
I say
There is a colorful robust beautifully arched rainbow at the end of this storm.

They don’t always come when you want them to
Do they?
They appear when your spirit is ready to break from bowing
Weeping Sobbing Sorrowful
Battered Deflated
When it feels as if faith is slipping through reddened fingertips

You’ve felt that before?
Can you identify with a wanting to sleep yet are restless from overthinking
And complaining and arguing
A tilt o whirl
An amused rider in a go cart within a hurricane
Holding on
Til your fingertips are reddened

There is a shiny new rainbow about to appear for me
It’s sure to have hues I won’t be able to pronounce and a new car type of New smell
That I won’t let go of; I can already taste the air that will ship it my way

I am returning to seeds planted years before my name was a brand
Before I had a style
When my voice was less powerful and more loving

I believe
wholeheartedly and without a doubt
That I’ve been through to show and prove

Simply and period

I trust in what I do not see yet I envision
what is to come
I am speaking less
gaining more wisdom
listening with eyes hearing wails
I Am
Elevated on another Plane
loving and being loved
unconditionally and unashamed
quietly…to and for myself…

A rainbow is coming as an answer
it was promised
I will be summoned
to greet it
spine erect
with a smile
when it arrives.
