Poem 17

Winds blowing
No summer in the horizon
Still dark and dreary here
In my city
Still murders and mothers burying children
The order of living and dying is so confusing here
Police are covering each others asses for that high speed chase a few years back
When that man and woman got killed by those officers
still overlooking Tamir Rice’s murder and his grieving families
Almost that time I must salute my dear friend
An angel tapping all of us whom loved her
to tell us to keep moving forward
It was just 80 degrees the other day
Today it was snowflakes and we are a few days away from May
I’m looking out the window and wanna run to another city
Where the sun is shining
Then I think of my mother
My loved ones rooted here
In Cleveland
and think of a way to bring them with me.

I craft people poems. I laugh out-loud. I love all things. Everything is about order. My movements are chess. Everything to me calculates. I just look like this.
