Poem 12

Words marry
Become a family
Connect others
Give hope
Carry burdens
From brick buildings
Into homes
They cut open and cause shame
They distort and get confused
Comes out the wrong way
The wrong door
We lose form and diction
Exercises the mind when reading
Words hold power
Give love
Rests on the tongues of those who speak words
Those keen ears that listen to those who speak
Infiltrate a nation and they burn single people up
In the Name of a Word
Tangles and deconstructs
It ashes
Like a whupping with a switch
They are fragile
Use them with purpose
Or remain silent.

About monalisasrandomthoughts

I craft people poems. I laugh out-loud. I love all things. Everything is about order. My movements are chess. Everything to me calculates. I just look like this.
